RMSI Introduces VipSurv, an IP-based Video Surveillance Solution for the Security Marketplace.

Sacramento, March 31, 2003. Removable Media Solutions, Inc. (RMSI) announced today the initial release and general market availability of VipSurv. VipSurv is an advanced IP-based application for the monitoring, recording, and retrieving of digital surveillance data. The solution incorporates network and CCTV cameras, Windows 2000 fault-tolerant server, and a RAID 5 storage facility.

VipSurv uses standardized Internet and LAN protocols and motion JPEG video compression. Key features of the VipSurv solution are: facilitates shared and remote viewing, provides for an expandable and scalable architecture, offers unlimited storage; supports emerging data-mining technologies for intelligent retrieval; and interfaces with other security systems and sensors such as motion, audio, pressure, and heat sensors.
